Rules and Regulations

  1. Requirements
  • Outfit
    Sportswear is the prescribed outfit for the gym. Proper toe-closed athletic footwear or sneakers required (no sandals or chalé woté).
  • Towel
    You must come with a clean towel to the gym always. There will be no admittance for members without towel. Towel application guards against the spread of sweat-borne diseases. Please, use your towel on surfaces that require mass body contact during workouts (eg bench workouts, leg press, etc). Wash towel regularly with disinfectants
  • Body Odour
    You are advised to have more than one set of training outfit, wash and interchange them regularly to avoid sweat-induced body odour. Note that you are not alone in the gym. Body odour is offensive and deterrent to others.
  • Water
    Bring your own water to the gym to avoid the inconvenience of seeking water from neighbours
2. Prohibitions
(a)You shall not:
  • scale the university perimeter wall to gain access to the gym location. This is considered a criminal activity by the University; the gym will not condone that.
  • cross hedges to come to the gym. Please use the approved access route, the driveway
  • lean on, or place items on vehicles parked at the gym premises. Such actions have caused dents to the body of cars in the past
  • throw missiles into trees to bring down fruits. Only pick fruits as they drop or use controlled plucking methods that will not waste fruits
  • fight or use abusive language against others
  • create excessive noise to disturb others in the neighbourhood
  • place or leave weights and barbells on leather surfaces/li>
3. Caution
  • Injuries Gym injuries are real. Be especially careful about loading and unloading weights, taking care of process-balancing.
  • Novice Fresh members with no gym experience are advised to team up with veterans for guidance
  • Cameras Beware of cameras.
4.Code and Ethics
  • Do not leave weights and barbells on the floor after training. Re-rack all such weights after training
  • Do not put or leave weights and barbells on leather surfaces in the course of training
  • You may not have to wait for other(s) to complete their training schedule; just join in
  • Your membership does not guarantee your affiliates free training. Non-members are not allowed training
  • A Fitness Massager (vibration machine) is available on fixed days only, to control usage
  • Do not leave personal items like towels, gloves, belts, etc, in the gym. Use gym bags
